Like a newborn baby, the infant heart cares only about its own needs. It’s consumed with its own survival.

The growing heart is becoming aware that the world doesn’t revolve around itself. Therefore, it steps out when required by the Lord and when it receives some sort of benefit from its action.

The mature heart cares only about the things Jesus cares about and functions only for the best interests of the Father.
