Right or Wrong

In this world—where there is a mushy line between what is determined to be right or wrong—we, as believers, have the amazing privilege of knowing which side of that line to stand on. The Lord shows us the right thing to do in every situation, if we seek Him and apply His Word to our lives.

He also lovingly counsels us on the wrong way to live in this world and explains the consequences of our actions if we choose that way. How privileged we are to be able to avoid the sliding scale of correctness the world has to offer. How wonderful to have the freedom to know where there's solid footing to walk on for everything we do!

What Fun!

In these days of needing to go someplace or buy something or find a way to have fun, it's so refreshing to be a child of God. In fact, if you choose to walk through this life with spiritual eyes—looking past the challenges all around you and focusing on what God is doing—just being His is fun.

His plan for this world includes us. That's fun! His heart is always for us. That's even more fun! His promises tell us He will never leave us or forsake us. That should take our hearts way past fun into the arena of amazing joy!

First

Whatever or whoever you place first in your life is the god you serve! No matter how much you deny it or how much you convince yourself ptherwise, your primary focus is your god.

If you would like to find out who or what your real god is, think back on the prayers you've prayed in the last few weeks. If you've been praying for safety, comfort, and for things to get back to normal, it's pretty clear that one of the gods you serve is you. If you've been praying for the Lord to be glorified in all you do, you're on the right track.

Just get honest with God and with yourself. You may be amazed at the number of "firsts" you'll be able to bring to the Lord in repentance. Smile! That's a good thing!

One Direction

There are many paths to choose in this life. As people who love Jesus, we find ourselves following the Holy Spirit into many situations, traveling many roads to accomplish what we've been told to do because we've spent time with our Father in heaven to learn His will for us.

Although our lives may take many paths as we follow what we're called to do for Him, they all really have one single direction. They're all designed to lead us to intimacy with Him, and bring our hearts to the cross of Jesus Christ, so we can represent Him properly to a dying world.

I’ll Meet You There

Have you ever had someone make an appointment to meet you someplace and they didn't show up? Unless the excuse they give when you talk of the incident is mighty convincing, a little piece of the trust you once had for them is taken from you. There is always some kind of need to have trust regained over time.

Well, the Lord will always be Who He says He is. He will always do what He says He will. He will always meet us wherever He says He will be. You have His unbreakable covenant promise on that!
