Being set free is not always the best thing for us, especially during seasons that are meant to carry out God's refining process in His church. If you're one who believes the Lord—not governments or organizations—is in charge and that He's attempting to speak quiet truths to His people, now's the time to function with spiritual wisdom.

God is refining His bride in this season. Leaders and their organizations are fulfilling His plans, not theirs. Having said that, sometimes it is His plan to restrict and confine those who will listen, so that He can speak softly to their hearts.

In a time when God is calling us to intimacy with Him and the practice of resting in His presence, we all need to make sure we only listen to His still, small voice for all of our directions and purposes. Our spiritual lives may depend on it. Let's not get too preoccupied with anything that will cause us to miss it!

A new spiritual creation in Christ is not intended to live in the spiritual atmosphere of the world. Our new nature is designed to live in heaven with God in Christ, not only now but with Him for all eternity. It's our natural environment, designed and planned for us by our Father.

Most of us have really missed the wonder of who we've become because of Jesus. We wander and wonder, immersed in this world and its ways and walk around the perimeter of what has been provided for us, never truly living in the higher life's atmosphere. The life that is supposed to be lived with the spiritual wealth found in Jesus is minimized because we choose to remain dictated to by a world we should have left long ago.

Our sins kept us from God, but God sent Jesus.
The world seems big, but God is bigger.
Sometimes I'm afraid, but God is with me.
The world tells me lies, but God tells me truth.
I feel like a failure, but God calls me holy.
Things look impossible, but God has all power.
I feel alone, but God never leaves me.

With any challenge, through any difficulty, in any impossible situation, we can count on God. Whatever the need, no matter how dark things look, we can always say: "But God!"

Do you know that everything the world has to offer is planned to steal your time with God? That means you are being ripped off, robbed, and taken advantage of.

If Jesus died so you and I could have an intimate relationship with Him and His Father through the power of the Holy Spirit, then anything that hinders that in any way is a rip off. No matter how important or urgent it may seem, it steals from the most precious gift you and I were ever given.

No theft is of greater consequence. Nothing can do you greater harm! After thinking and praying about this, what will you do?

Have you ever been with somebody who kept looking around for someone more important to talk to than you when you desired to communicate with them? You knew you obviously didn't have their full attention. It hurt, didn't it?

Jesus always gave His Father His full attention. Father God did the same with Him. Their interaction was devoted to the best interests of each other.

Does Jesus have your full attention? When you are with Father God, does He have your full attention; I mean really have the attention He deserves? I wonder why we feel we have the right to look past His communication and focus on what really matters more to us?
