You're spending time in front of the television listening to the news and watching programs that deny everything the Lord has said, but you have little time to spend in the Word of God and listen quietly to Him.

You plan your days attempting to survive rather than really finding the safe path the Lord has for you.

You stop meeting and praying with those who love the Lord and then spend sleepless nights wondering what will happen to harm you tomorrow.

Your main focus is on what the world is telling you and you forget what the Word has told you all along.

How is that working for you?

If any of us would for one minute think we are worthy of being in the presence of the holy, righteous, magnificent Creator of everything, we are delusional at best and downright foolish. Without Jesus, mankind was incapable of even looking upon the appearance of God without perishing.

However, because of the covenant of love that Jesus made with His Father for us, we have the privilege of being invited into the actual presence of that same holy God. We are accepted by Him with the same fatherly welcome Jesus has because of the covenant. He is in us and we are in Him, so we have His eternal worth. Amazing!!!! Thank you, Jesus!

If everything appears to be signs of the end times, maybe the place to look is to the Lord, not to situations. If the spiritual enemy of your soul is making a concentrated effort to get your mind off of Jesus and on to the world around you, maybe you should understand where the real war is. If you have no peace, maybe you should refocus your time and make your priority intimate time with the Lord.

If all you see is darkness, maybe you're missing the light that Jesus is providing in many places. If all you have is worry and fear, maybe you need to get your eyes off of yourself and find a need and fill it.

If you haven't seen this season as preparation for a bridal heart, maybe you are looking in the wrong direction.

Don't listen to anything that doesn't line up with God's Word. Don't lose your focus; your purpose is souls. Don't get angry; God is in charge. Don't get distracted. Don't forget to look past everything the world is attempting to show you and see what God is doing in the situation. Don't forget to pray for those who are hurting. Above all, don't forget to love!

Sell out to Jesus. Make the priority of your life intimacy with your Father God. Commit to love others more than you love yourself. Find ways to serve others. Commit to becoming an agent of reconciliation with all people. Find needs and fill them. Then - wait for it!

Wait for the supernatural intervention of God in all you do. Wait and expect His miracle power to accomplish His will through your life. Wait for Him to make your life a beautiful example to others as the Holy Spirit empowers all you become and all you do. His presence will come; and when it does, it will be worth the wait!
