A majestic and all powerful God Who speaks into a void and countless planets in countless galaxies are formed. A place where there was no beginning and will be no end. An existence free from all the limitations of our small daily existence. A place of absolute freedom, joy, order, and peace.

That is the real world. What we see and experience every day is soon to pass away and the real world the Lord has intended for us to function in for eternity with Him is on its way.

I know that a time out from all that is going on would seem wonderful. Everyone I talk to is overloaded, overstressed, and overlooking what these days are all about.

If we look past the fears and challenges, we see a call to submit to the Lord for Him to overcome the challenges and circumstances we face. As His plans unfold, He is using the difficulties to bring His people to the end of themselves, so we all submit to His Father just like He did. Only those on the other side would want you and me to call a time out. Let's not do it, OK?

We wish things weren't as confusing as they are. We wish things would get back to what they were. We wish there would be more answers for our lives. We wish we could control our circumstances. We wish life could be easier and we could have all the things we want.

The Lord wishes we would finally see that all of our circumstances are really bringing us to the end of ourselves, so we would learn to need Him for everything. He knows that is our real place of safety, hope, and fulfillment.

We wish He would find a different way to teach us.

The world seems to be heading toward the patterns the Lord has said are the signs prior to His coming. If that is really true for this generation, what kind of people should we be? How much time should we spend grooming ourselves spiritually as a bride would prepare for her wedding day? How much of the siren songs of the world should we be listening to?

What if we really are the generation awaiting the coming of the Lord? What if Jesus really has been told by His Father to go get His bride? What if we are looking all around instead of looking up for Him?Pretty big what Ifs!

Did you know each of us has the same choice to make each and every day? We do. It's a simple choice to think about but one that is sometimes difficult to make because of fears, hurts, and past failures in our lives.

Here is our daily choice. We can hide from or deny what is presented to us, or we can choose to overcome it in Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit!

That's it. It's that simple or that difficult, depending on the patterns we have set up in our minds over the years to either accept or reject the power to overcome every obstacle in our lives that has limited our ability to be like Jesus. It's really time to accept and choose the amazing privilege each of us has, isn't it?
