When Moses was asked to move for the Lord, he knew if the presence of the Lord didn't go with him, it made no sense to go. He said that without the presence of the Lord he would look just like the myriad of false prophets who heralded their wares and beliefs. Nobody would know the difference between him and them.

In today's world, most of the church looks and sounds just like all the other voices who herald their opinions. We look just like all those other guys. I wonder what's missing from our representation. If it's the presence of the Lord, we'd better seek Him enough to gain it.

On a cross two thousand years ago, a bloodied body—looking more like hamburger than a human being—Jesus proclaimed out loud that your life matters. It matters so much that He gave Himself so you could live in absolute freedom with Him for all eternity.

If anyone ever attempts to tell you that you are of no consequence, just send them to Jesus. He will say it again and again for all of eternity, You are of unquestionable value. Your life matters!

As the world spirals into darkness and the signs all around us scream silently of the imminent coming of the Lord, the aware church knows the Father is about to send His Son back for His bride. In their hearts, they are in earnest, looking for Him.

What is pretty astounding is that the majority of the church, the foolish virgins, have the wisdom to do whatever is necessary to look like Him. Few are preparing as a bride would prepare, cleansing their hearts of anything that is not of Jesus. Looking for Him is good! All of the waiting virgins knew the Bridegroom was coming. Prepared - looking like Him - is the God-honoring bride.

As believers are looking for the coming of the Lord, the unbelievers will be looking for a redeemer-like person to put in order all of the havoc and strife the world will be in. We will be waiting for the return of Jesus; they will be longing for a world leader and a one world system to supposedly bring everything together.

If this is the time, our focus should be on preparing as a bride would prepare. We should be zealous to represent Jesus to a dying world as we wait for Him. They will be doing everything to put the fire of Christ out in us, so they can adore their false christ. I wonder if this is the time we have been waiting for. I guess time will tell, huh!

Can we dare to talk with the living, almighty, all powerful, holy God as little children because of what Jesus has done on the cross? Absolutely! Everything about the life of Jesus and what was done on the cross invites us to an intimacy with our ABBA.

The question is then, is He willing to talk with us, to really have heart to heart communication as Father and child? Do we dare to not only talk with Him, but also dare to believe He willingly and lovingly will also talk to us?

Intimacy says that is true. What do you say we engage in the kind of interaction Jesus died for? I dare you! I double dare you!! I double dog dare you!!!
