11/17/22 Kill the Heir

As far as the enemy was concerned, he thought he’d won by killing the heir of God. Attempting to thwart the plans of God, he used those who listened to him to put to death the only danger he could see. In doing so, however, he played right into the hands of God and His plans to break death’s hold on mankind.

The same plans of the enemy have been in effect from the beginning of time. If he can kill, steal from, or destroy the heirs of any family, he can prevent that family unit from completing its ordained task. Minimizing the heir can destroy the lineage, and it’s a weapon used in an attempt to thwart God’s plans for future generations.

Look around, men! First look at your own life. Did the enemy destroy your father’s heir? Are you an ineffective witness for Jesus? Do you know what plans have been thwarted because of your disobedience to God?  Do you even care?

Now look at your family!  Are your children a strong witness for Jesus? Does your family represent Jesus to the world by the way they act? Are other families being changed because they have come in contact with yours?  If not, the enemy is well on his way to successfully killing your heirs spiritually. He is completing his task of minimizing the effectiveness of touching future generations for Christ through them.

As a husband and father, there is still time. You can turn your family around by determining to pray your children back into line with their calling. This moment could also change the lineage for untold generations if your witness to your peers becomes anointed. You can help them realize how the enemy has nullified their heirs. God is restoring the offices of husband and father. He is rescuing the heirs of those fathers who turn fully to Him. Are you going to respond?

11/16/22 He Hasn’t Forgotten

Is your job just a bunch of endless days as you wait for something better to come along? Or even worse, have you just lost your job? Is there illness in your family? Do your kids think little of your opinion? Are you and your wife living together, but in name only? Whatever the peril you may be facing, every one of us asks at one time or another, “What are you doing, Lord? Have you forgotten about me?”

Well, be assured He hasn’t forgotten about you. In fact, during those difficult times He places Himself in a position to be closer than ever, if you choose to draw near to Him. He has created your office so that you can navigate your life trusting in Him alone. The circumstances you face are building you up in the Lord. They are building trust. They are showing you that He is a God who makes the impossible possible. They are causing you to run to Him, sit on His lap, and put your thumb in your mouth. That big guy - the “knowing all the answers” guy - has to die, so that the Lord can really be Lord to you.

Read what God has promised in Hebrews 13:5 Amp.  “…for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] It just doesn’t get any better than that!!

11/15/22 Higher Call

What is not proclaimed in most men’s groups, church fellowships, and one to another is that there is a higher call than what we see evident today. It is a call all the way into the throne room, God’s secret place reserved for those who desire to make it their home.  It is a place won for us at the cross. Most churches and fellowships will not proclaim this opportunity as a normal way of life because it is costly to enter. The price is everything, a message not very conducive to building large gatherings or paying for large buildings.

As a husband and father, as a man, your job description is to find the most advantageous opportunities for those who trust you to lead them into safe places. God has ordained your office as a covering for them. That means it is your responsibility to discover solid ground for them to travel in life. The safest place is in the throne room with their Father in heaven. The question arises; then how can you lead others to places you have never been yourself?

If you really accept your office, it’s time to shake off all the teachings that do not lead you to holiness, which is gained only by embracing the crucified life. It’s time to move away from those who feel that intimacy with God in His secret place is only for the saints of old, no matter who says so. If you belong to a fellowship that won’t go there, you need to find one that will. In the times ahead, your well-being and the well-being of those who trust you will depend on having answers - real answers. Can you give real answers and certified safe places for them to go because you go there yourself? God has provided those answers and is asking us to go where we can find them - with Him.

11/14/22 A Father’s Love

I find it much easier to understand the love of the Father because I am a parent.  As a parent, you want the best for your child.  You have much to share and impart because you’ve already been where your child is going.  You desire to spend time with your child simply because he or she is yours - a part of you.  You enjoy seeing each discovery your child makes and enjoy it even more when you see it become a part of your child’s life.  You have a desire to see your child come to maturity in all things and then see him or her go on to share and impart what they have learned.  Isn’t that just like the Father?  How wonderful it is to have a real-life example to help us understand how much He truly desires a relationship with us!

To those of you that may not have had the example of a loving, earthly father: Don’t let Satan deprive you of the joy of knowing your real Father because of bad memories or weak examples. Don’t withhold any amount of love from your child because you received little. Flood them with all the stored-up love that is within you.

Father God is the epitome of a true and honest love. He cannot misuse or abandon those that are His. He will never leave you or fail you. Never!  Just for fun, get an Amplified Bible and look up Hebrews 13:5b. It is a promise to you. You can believe it. Hang on to it and walk in it, healed of anything that the world may have done to you.

11/12/22 The Same as Before

One day, possibly early in the morning, a worn sandal touched the edge of the Jordan River. The time had come for the next portion of the plans of God to be set in motion. Quietly, with no fanfare except for the comments made by John the Baptist, the eternal consequences of people’s choices from that time onward would be made known to them. The people who lived in that time period would need to conform to the plan that unfolded before them, whether they wanted to or not. Their lives had changed from that very moment. No one could stop what had been set in motion. This season in the plan of God will continue until He says it’s over.

Shortly before this season concludes, it is generally believed that an application of grace will be available to the end-time generation, so that they might reveal to the world the true character of Jesus Christ. It is also an accepted teaching that there will be a wooing, or heralding, to draw intimately close to Jesus shortly before the final call for those Christians who choose to be a part of that move of God.

For several years now, the discerning ones within the church have sensed that particular wooing to holiness, an exhortation to deep repentance, a bridal call to single-heartedness, and complete submission to the will of God.  He is calling His men to restore their offices of husband and father. He is asking them to rescue their children from the influences of the world.

Make no mistake, as sure as the times changed when that sandal of the Messiah met the edge of the Jordan, the present times will change when God decides to finalize His current bridal call. Have you responded?  Maybe you should consider doing so before He says, “Enough; all is completed.”
