4/07/26 If Someone Would Only Say I’m Sorry!

Without knowing it, most people are walking around with a wounded spirit because of the harm someone has caused them in the past. We may have forgiven them, which is the only way to bring about complete healing; but somehow the pain just doesn’t go away. What we don’t know is that our spirit, in essence, has a hole in it. It is as if we have been stabbed, possibly many times, by the words or actions of others. We are trying to function as if we’re whole; but, in reality, we’re attempting to cover our wounds with a tiny bandage to stop the bleeding, while continuing on with life. Spiritual wounds are very real and very debilitating.

When asked, I have found that most people who walk in woundedness have never had anyone who wounded them say that they’re sorry, either because the offender is unaware or incapable, or the individual has passed away, leaving things unresolved. Standing in for those who can’t or won’t repent to the wounded person, I have said “I’m sorry. Please forgive me for all the harm I’ve caused you,” and I extend that apology to you as well as a representative of the man or woman who has harmed you and is incapable of asking for your forgiveness. Will you make the choice to forgive that person?

If you receive that apology, and can truly forgive the offender (whether man, woman, father, mother, family member, or friend) as if he or she had said the words, you will be well on your way to discovering why you have led a powerless life as a man, or why you keep attempting to find something to fill the void that you feel as a woman. Your healing has begun.

4/06/26 The Never-ending Commitment

“Few of you understand the depth of commitment I have made with you. I have covenanted with you and sealed that covenant with the blood of Jesus. There is no more unbreakable agreement ever made. That means that I have placed Myself and My integrity on the line, so that you can be safe. You need to study what you entered into when Jesus became your Lord. You would be amazed how much My commitment to you is at work every moment of every day.”

Mark 4:24 AMP

And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you – and more [besides] will be given to you who hear.

Luke 23:44-45 NIV

44) It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour,

45) for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two.

John 3:16 NIV

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 6:57 AMP

Just as the living Father sent Me and I live by (through, because of) the Father, even so whoever continues to feed on Me [whoever takes Me for his food and is nourished by Me] shall [in his turn] live through and because of Me.

The astounding mercy of God was made evident upon the arrival of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His power was made evident when Jesus was raised from the dead. His covenant with us was sealed forever at the cross.

You and I function daily under the power of the most incredible agreement, made especially for us. Jesus is the mediator of a covenant so wonderful that we will bask in the results of its far-reaching impact for eternity.

Thank You, Lord,

4/06/26 The Right Thing to Do

Overcoming the world by the power of God through His Holy Spirit is simply the right thing for each of us to do. In the same way, leading our families to a place of safety in Him is the right plan to follow. It is right in God’s eyes, so there should be no other plan for us to even consider.

The strategy of the enemy is to nullify the effectiveness of you and your family. He desires for you to follow your own plans, walk in your own strength, and teach your children to do the same. He knows that by pointing you in that direction, you and your family are no real threat to him and his kingdom.

On the other hand, traveling on the right path with God - walking in kingdom power by fully submitting to Jesus and His ways - nullifies any effect the world and its ways have on you. Living the life of Christ - simply because it’s the right thing to do - creates an ark of safety from the effects of the world. It brings into play everything the cross has won for you. It allows you to walk in the powerful office you have been given. You please God by doing what’s right in His eyes. That leads to amazing things!

4/04/26 No Limits

“Why don’t you practice stepping out of your comfort zone? Determine in your heart to forgive anyone and everyone immediately. Set no limits on your giving to those who have need of any kind. Go “the extra mile” for someone who will never be able to pay you back. Make a big sacrifice secretly. Do something that has no benefit to you in any way. You get the idea. Take some time to implement the life of Jesus so quietly that it resounds throughout the heavenlies for eternity. Practice living His life to others when only you and I know you are doing it.”

Matthew 5:13 AMP

“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste (its strength, its quality) how can its saltness be restored? It is not good for anything any longer but to be thrown out and trodden under foot by men.”

Luke 9:23-25 AMP

23) And He said to all, If any person wills to come after Me, let him deny himself [disown himself, forget, lose sight of himself and his own interests, refuse and give up himself] and take up his cross daily and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying also].

24) For whoever would preserve his life and save it will lose and destroy it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, will preserve and save it [from the penalty of eternal death].

25) For what does it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and ruins or forfeits (loses) himself?

2 Cor. 9:7-8 NIV

7) Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

8) And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

Sometimes we are so busy following the letter of the covenant that we have been given that we forget the heart of everything that has been done for us. Unlimited, overwhelming, unending, selfless love is at the center of all the freedom life we have been given in Christ. Not the “stand in your face, look what I’m doing” kind of love, but the “I lay my life down continually because I was loved first” kind of love. Everything else is a bondage of some sort.

4/04/26 God’s Kind of Integrity

In a world of throw-away relationships, marginal commitments, and a redefined meaning of integrity, we - as men of God - are called to walk in the kind of no compromise integrity Jesus had. He walked so far above the ways of the world that compromised, hardened individuals couldn’t stand to be with Him. In fact, they had to rid Him from their midst because He walked in the integrity of His Father.

A man known for uncompromised integrity is looked upon in two ways. To those seeking truth, he is an inspiration. His life shines bright in a darkened world. He is sought out by those who have grown weary of the slippery slope half-truths. His life is a refreshing example to follow.

On the other hand, if you walk in God’s kind of uncompromised integrity, every force of evil that dwells in those who hate the ways of God will be loosed against you. You’ll be looked upon as someone who “just doesn’t understand.” Often you’ll be standing alone, sometimes looking like a fool to those who don’t think as you do. Your circle of “friends” will grow smaller and smaller as you walk in a light that shines on the compromise in them. They’ll eventually hate you for who you are and what you stand for. You’ll eventually be looked upon with the same disdain Jesus experienced. What great company to be in!
