4/19/22 Refiner’s Fires

Do you realize that God’s priorities don’t include making you comfortable? Of course, He answers prayers, truly helps us when we are in need, and blesses us because He loves us; but He never promises us a rose garden with no challenges. In fact, it’s in times of challenge that we grow spiritually and grow closer to Him.

Refiner’s fires are God’s love in action. The hotter the fire, the more thorough the refinement process is. If you look at 2 Samuel 14:14, it talks about a loving Father who creates ways for those who are heart separated from Him to be brought close. Being close to God is the best and safest way for all of creation to flourish.

If you, as a husband and father, have a desire to lead your family with spiritual success through the challenging times ahead, you’ll need to embrace the refiner’s fires sent your way. Whatever draws you to your knees is a good thing. Whatever causes you to be out of answers and cry out to the Lord for help prepares you to overcome the world and its ways. Whatever brings you to the end of yourself, so you need God, is of eternal benefit to your family.

If you’re not capable of standing still in the face of incredible danger because God told you to do so when everyone else is running, you need to cry out to the Lord to help you. If you can’t see the need to have the full power of God with you in your battle to save your children, you need to cry out to the Lord to help you. If you feel you’ll be able to go through the coming times with what spiritual life you have at present, you need to cry out to the Lord to help you. Then, you need to embrace every refiner’s fire that comes your way with all your heart. Digging in with the Lord is what it’s going to take for you to make it. However that happens is up to the Lord. Your job is to surrender. Will you?

4/18/22 Today

“Live out this day for My good! I have appointed it and I desire your participation. Your part in My plan is important. If you waste your time pining over yesterday or spend valuable moments fearing tomorrow, you will not appreciate all that I have for you today. If you live your life in the joys of the past, or base your hope on a better tomorrow, you will not consider today important enough to involve yourself fully in My plan for you.

"Start considering each day as important as I do, be it filled with challenges, alive with opportunities, or a simple day of rest. Learn from your past, look forward to My future with you; but live this day with the passion that Jesus lived each moment He was with you. He understood how important His each and every day was. 9) For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.

10) And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,

11) being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully

I am heartbroken over the days that I have wasted by focusing on past mistakes or by worrying about what is ahead. As I think of how little was accomplished by my worry or regret, I can understand why it is so much more fruitful to direct my attention to each day’s tasks and situations as they happen. It also means that I am trusting my Lord with all of the rest. If I seek Him as my priority, I can be confident that He will cover what I have done, and that He is in charge of what comes next.

It’s a matter of trust, isn’t it, Lord?

4/18/22 Reprobate Thinking

In November of 2008, the Lord showed me that He has done three things that will affect the course of our lives. First, He has turned the world over to a reprobate mind. Second, His people will go through great refiner’s fires to prepare them for the seasons ahead. Third, He is aligning all of the nations for His end-time plan. Today and the next two days, we will be dealing with these issues one at a time.

Up until this time, you - as a husband and father - have been able to navigate your life and the lives of your family because the world made sense. Logical thinking, reasonable attitudes, and integrity have been the basis for your decision making. Common sense could be relied upon in most business and personal decisions.

That is now changing because reprobate thinking has little to do with truth, logic, or normal thinking. It denies all reason, and forms conclusions based on directions from a spiritual enemy bent on confusion, instead of truth. All the lusts of the flesh, reasonable or otherwise, guide the actions of those who are not aligned with God and directed by His Holy Spirit. Starting with those who can most easily be swayed and eventually permeating our laws, people who have the decision-making power to influence social behavior will create a world that allows mankind to plunge into the darkness of the lowest form of living. This life makes no sense to those who have the mind of Christ.

As you look around, any thinking person can see the illogical, base nature of mankind creeping into every element of society. Right is being deemed wrong, and wrong is applauded and heralded as freedom to choose. Decisions and laws, at times, have become sadly laughable to the reasoning mind. Slowly but surely, you and I will live in a world where opportunities we’ve had in the past to raise our families in an atmosphere of reason will be gone.

As a husband and father, how are you going to overcome, or even survive in a world that has such foreign thinking and no deep, personal relationship with Father God? Without wisdom from the throne room of God, how will you be able to show those you love the answers they’ll need to deal with the amazing challenges they’ll soon face? How will you be able to make it from day to day without continual guidance from the Holy Spirit? Guess what? It won’t be possible.

4/16/22 Sharing God’s Heart

“Why would you give what I have given you to those who choose not to hear, when there are so many people who are hungry for My Word? I have trained you to walk with wisdom. You have eaten at My table. I have given you My heart. I have whispered My secret longings to you in our intimate times together. Be careful what you do with them. Make sure that you share this wealth only with those who will not throw it down as yesterday’s laundry.

"You have been trained to walk and reason above the ways of the world. Stand until I tell you to move. Go only where I call you to go. You have been taught to move only for My reasons, in response to My heart, not by the needs that you encounter. You are My vessel of service. I have trained you and fed you from My hand. Nourish others when and where I tell you. I love you.”

Exodus 33:13-16 NIV

13) “If I have found favor in your eyes, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people.”

14) The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

15) Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.

16) How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?”

Luke 6:45-46 AMP

45) The upright (honorable, intrinsically good) man out of the good treasure [stored] in his heart produces what is upright (honorable and intrinsically good), and the evil man out of the evil storehouse brings forth that which is depraved (wicked and intrinsically evil); for out of the abundance (overflow) of the heart his mouth speaks.

46) Why do you call Me, Lord, Lord, and do not [practice] what I tell you?

Luke 10:5-6 NIV

5) “When you enter a house, first say, ’Peace to this house.’

6) If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you.”

Luke 10:10-11 NIV

10) “But when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and say,

11) ‘Even the dust of your town that sticks to our feet we wipe off against you’…

Moses had the key to a powerful life. He would not do anything unless he was told to do it; and then, he knew that whatever he was told to do was fruitless unless the presence of God had gone before him.

Think of how many times we have gone running ahead of God and fell flat on our faces. Think of how much more peaceful our lives would be if we knew for sure that the Lord had sent us to a specific task, and that He had assured us that He was with us there. Nothing could sway us. We could remain for as long as the Lord asked us to be there without wavering, no matter what the circumstances might look like.

Teach me to listen first, and then wait until You have gone before me, Lord,

4/16/22 An Incredible Freedom

One of the most overlooked events in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus is the tearing of the veil in the temple. It was rent from top to bottom, a task impossible by anyone but God. That single act rings with the mercy and love of God. It was symbolic of our invitation into the unthinkable – access into the very presence of God. Even more amazing, we, as believers, not only have access to God; but we are now accepted by our Father in heaven with the same love, intimacy, and acceptance that Jesus has with Him!

In today’s Christian society, it seems as if we’ve somehow managed to sew the veil back together in our minds. We reject the thought that God has offered us entrance into a warm, Father-son (daughter) relationship with Him. For some reason, many of us - especially men - fail to grasp the concept of being able to enter into the presence of God, sit on His lap, and suck our thumb. Few of us feel free to enter His presence as needy, broken failures who have no answers. Few of us have the joy of understanding that our bankruptcy opens the compassionate heart of our loving Father, Who is waiting to embrace us with loving acceptance.

I believe one of the most important aspects of this book is that it, in essence, presents to you that when God tore the veil, He gave you and me permission to feel so small in our own eyes, that we would be able to really need Him for everything in our lives. He gave us permission to fail Him over and over again, and still be accepted. He told us that He would never ever condemn us or remove us from His heart. He invited us into an incredibly close relationship, one that permits us to walk side by side as companions with Him throughout our lives, and then throughout all eternity. As you go about the business of reclaiming your offices, you need to settle it in your heart once and for all that you are cherished. You have permission to love Him unashamedly and He promises to love you back - forever.

Men, I challenge you to put aside all your wounds, and the misrepresentations and misunderstandings of Who our Father God is, and embrace the truth that He loves, cherishes, and accepts you at all times. I challenge you to believe in your heart that He gives you permission to fail and have no answers. I challenge you to trust Him to love you just as you are, while walking with you so that you can become who He intends you to be.
