4/10/20 Waiting on God

“Few of you fully understand the posture of waiting on Me. I don’t mean waiting for Me, although that is part of it. I mean waiting on Me. It is an attitude of the heart that, if cultivated, will change your life forever. Once fully implemented, nothing will be able to hinder the freedom and joy that will be part of every moment of your life.

"Waiting on Me is the life posture of allowing all things to be completed in the heavenly realms before you act in the physical. It is the confident expectation that I will accomplish every need on your behalf. It is the full assurance that what I have said will come to pass. It allows intimate fellowship between you and Me without the hindrances of fear, impatience, or questioning of My motives in anything that We are doing together. It is the intimate heart interaction that Jesus showed all the while He was with you. It is a true union of Spirit between you and Me. It is available to you for a great price. It will cost you your independence, but you will gain your freedom.”

Matthew 26: 53-54 NIV

53) “Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?

54) But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?”

John 4:34 NIV

“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.”

Matt.16:19 AMP

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful ) on earth must be whatever is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven.

John 5:19-20 NIV

19) Jesus gave them this answer: “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.

20) For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does...”

At times, many of us consider a time of waiting to be unproductive, so we tend to move in anticipation of the answer for which we are waiting. In this walk with the Lord, that is called “doing it in our own strength.”

The will of God for each of our lives was set in motion long before any of us were even born. If we were to consider our fellowship with Him our priority, we could be basking in His love while He orchestrates our next move; then moving in His power to accomplish it, confident that the outcome will be His will.

Set me free by keeping me close, Lord,

Pay No Attention to the Man Behind the Curtain

This is not Oz! The Bible does, however, warn us that there would be “men behind the curtain” with plans that are not God's, plans to deceive His church into thinking that there's always something more important than the intimate relationship provided for us by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. These plans attempt to minimize Who He is, what He has done, and who we are in Christ.

As we see current situations unfolding and unfamiliar challenges presented to us most every day, it's easy to embrace those issues as priorities in our lives. That's the plan from behind the curtain.

Nothing has changed with Father God! His desire for intimacy with us remains important to Him. That intimacy with the One Who created all things, knows all things, and is in charge of all things is still more important than anything else that calls for our attention. From that communication with Him and as His children, we can receive anything we need to face whatever comes our way, no matter how many loud voices clamor to proclaim their importance.

4/09/20 Action or Reaction?

Are you a man of action, or do you find yourself reacting to challenges that could have been avoided if you had engaged sooner? Preemptive prayer is an action that helps to create a smooth path for families to travel.

As I look around, I see so many marriages that appear to be on the verge of failing, or at best, things have dimmed over the years. I see children who’ve been overcome by the world, unaware of the bondage they’re in. I also see husbands and fathers who’ve either given up long ago or are hopelessly looking for ways to get their families out of the mess they’re in. All they can do is react to the next emergency their family faces. They live the life of a blind guide, putting out fire after fire, while attempting to maintain some semblance of a Christian family.

I also notice the families of a praying husband and father. Sure, they have challenges; but what’s not seen is all of the enemy’s plans that have been destroyed long before they could take effect. What’s not seen is the aggressive posture the man of God has taken on behalf of those he stewards. What’s not seen is the “hands off my family” notice that’s been given to the enemy. What’s not seen is the supernatural hedge built around the family of the mighty man of prayerful action on their behalf. That man is you!

Let’s talk more!

4/09/20 Sure Steps

“Never lose sight of the fact that I have chosen you. First of all, I have chosen you to spend eternity with Me. I have decided that you are to represent Jesus where I have placed you in your world. I have directed your friends, your family, and all those you will spend your days with to you. If that seems strange to you, think of all those you read about in My Word. They made their decisions, but I ordained their steps.

"I do the same with you. Events, people, situations, and all timeframes do My bidding. Everything is in order so that My Word is fulfilled. You still have choices; but I am continuously changing your heart, so that you make wiser moves. Delight in My ways. I will make your steps sure.”

Proverbs 16:9 AMP

A man’s mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps and makes them sure.

Proverbs 20:24 AMP

Man’s steps are ordered by the Lord….

Jeremiah 10:23 AMP

Oh, Lord [pleads Jeremiah in the name of the people], I know that [the determination of] the way of a man is not in himself; it is not in man [even in a strong man or in a man at his best] to direct his [own] steps.

Our Father in heaven guides us, directs us, blesses us, draws us, protects us, loves us, helps us, and directs our steps. Wow!

Thank You, Lord,

What If Things Never Go Back to the Way They Were?

What if this is it? What if all of Bible prophecy is being fulfilled right before our eyes, not only in our lifetime but in this very day? What kind of persons should we be? What should our priorities be?

Signs of the times have been around for many years. Many generations have felt that the signs in their lives pointed to the rapture of the church, the institution of a one world government, and a world leader that would solve all global problems. Obviously they were wrong.

But what if this very day is the time prophesied in the Bible? If we look closely, some things seem to be falling in place. If they are, how important are the things that we cherish? How would we prepare our heart, our marriages, and our family? How would we prepare our children?

I guess if any of us has a bunch of changes to make, they should be made even if things go back to being business as usual shouldn't they? That is, if we really want to please the Lord with our lives!
