5/23/20 Violations of Trust

From the book, The Father Factor, by Jim and Merry Corbett

During the course of a significantly dysfunctional marriage, many violations of trust occur, and they little by little erode the safety of the marriage. The spiritual seal of the marriage has been broken, which allows inroads for continual harm if these violations persist. Let’s rediscover the brilliant plan of God to preserve the safety of your marriage, so that you can rebuild it into a powerful unit that affects the world the way God originally intended.

One of the most important yet often ignored aspects of a marriage is the violations of trust by either the husband or wife. Sometimes they occur with the help of devoted, unknowing friends who are more than willing to walk with you through all the wounds you and your spouse have received from one another. Sometimes these violations are even brought into play through professional counseling. Another avenue in the body of Christ that can lead to trust issues between husband and wife is the prayer request that concerns your marriage. Whatever form it takes, these are all an open window into the privacy of your marriage, and a hindrance to any healing that’s vital in making your marriage a powerful force in the hands of God.

A healthy marriage is a place of safety where two less than perfect people are privileged by God to see the inadequacies and failures of the other, all so that they can hold each other before the Lord so that healing can take place. The covenant marriage is sealed from any outside influence, so that each party has a safe place to fail without the fear of the scrutiny of others and the detriment of gossip. If there is a need for counseling to clear some things up so that you can continue, you must set parameters that protect the privacy of both parties. Walking prayerfully within those parameters reseals your marriage and places God back in charge of your relationship. The bottom line is this. How can you and your spouse truly trust and be vulnerable with one another if you continually wonder what everyone else knows about you?

5/23/20 All Notice

“Have you noticed that My story continues? I continue it in every person to whom you show Jesus. People know My plan because of the joy that they see in you, your increasing dedication, the passion you are developing for the deeper things concerning My plan; or when you settle for a plan that is far less than I intend for them to see.

"They know it when you fail desperately, but have some place to go and get relief as you come to Me. They see it when I anoint what you do and you pass the credit back to Me. They may not understand. Some may hate who you are becoming. Others may be given taste buds for more of Me. Some delight in your failures to represent Me properly.

"Be assured, all notice. Each and every moment you breathe, My story goes on through you whether you live properly or you remain unmoved. I trust you to carry My story with the life that it deserves - the life of Jesus. I wait for you to understand the importance I place on how you show Him to others.”

Mark 6:30 NIV

The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to him all they had done and taught.

Luke 12:48b AMP

For everyone to whom much is given, of him shall much be required; and of him to whom men entrust much, they will require and demand all the more.

Most of our lives we walk around representing ourselves, our employer, our parents, etc. All of a sudden, one day we give our hearts to Jesus. Our reasons rarely even resemble the proper reasons of serving God and His plans. Most of the time, they are because of our need or the comfort of relief from sin. Little do we know that from that very moment, we become representatives of God. Because we became His, we now are the example of either the incredible life-changing power won for us at the cross of Calvary or a dull, religious practice. Once we accept Jesus, there is no turning back. No matter how we act - good, bad, or indifferent - we are telling others who He is by what we do and who we become. What an incredibly sobering thought!

Forgive me for all the times I have not represented You properly, Lord,

5/22/20 Rebuilding Men

From the book, The Father Factor, by Jim and Merry Corbett Valiant men, who renew their covenant with God and with each other, must be the catalyst in their circle of influence; so that those they influence can see the need for and the wonder and power of this kind of heart and desire it themselves. God is stirring the hearts of men at this very moment to desire the covenant heart and surrender completely to Him. God is rebuilding His truth in the hearts of those who are seeking truth, infusing them with a new desire to be all that they can be in Jesus Christ. He is restoring the offices of husband and father in His church. He is reversing the spiritual deadness and revitalizing open hearts with a new love for Jesus. He is causing those who repent of their spiritual deadness to once again live and act as Jesus would toward Him, His Word, His desires, and His promises - all for the fulfillment of His plans during this season in time. If we liken this time to the rebuilding of a football team, God Himself is in the process of building a team that will never lose another game. It is a team that has so embraced His will that there is nothing that can sway them from perfectly executing every task with the flawlessness that Jesus did. This team will have immersed itself in the plans of God and the ways of Jesus so thoroughly that they will know how to love as He does, serve as He serves, submit to the Father’s plans as He does, and win according to the Father’s game plan. 5/22/20 Because of Love

“Everything I do is based on love. You need to remember that, whenever the enemy accuses you of who you are not. The idea of the cross was because of My love. Jesus spent His life because He loved you. The idea of you being with Me for eternity was My idea. I am observing your heart. I am building My love in you. For now you and I need to talk. Tell Me whatever you need to tell Me. Express your heart. I will begin by expressing Mine. I love you.”

Gen. 1:31 AMP

And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good (suitable, pleasant) and He approved it completely….

Isaiah 38:17 NIV

Surely it was for my benefit that I suffered such anguish. In your love you kept me from the pit of destruction; you have put all my sins behind your back.

Matthew 26: 53-54 NIV

53) “Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?

54) But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?”

Luke 23:34 NIV

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

So many times we misinterpret the ways of God toward us when we enter difficult times or when He is pruning us. During those times, the enemy attempts to confuse the issue by attempting to remove the love of our Father God from the situation.

Very simply stated, Jesus lived an exuberant, passionate life because He loved deeply and knew the truth. Everything that He did had love as its foundation, its continual motivation, and its ultimate goal. Nothing, not even death, could move Him from expressing that love to and for those around Him.

Because He was One with and knew His Father intimately, He understood the truth about the fate of mankind as a result of the fall. Because He lived with His Father in all of eternity past, He knew what separation from His Father for all eternity future really meant for those He loved and created. He felt His Father’s heartbreak because some would perish.

Thank You, Lord,

Jim Corbett

What Do You Expect ?

What do you expect? You are a blood bought child of God. Jesus spent His entire life on earth for your benefit. He and Father God made an unbreakable covenant that assures you that you will never be forsaken or forgotten. All of the promises in the Word of God are proven to be true. They tell of your everlasting love relationship with God.

So what do you expect? Do you expect Them to turn Their back on Their promises? Do you expect Them to leave you powerless to overcome all of the challenges you face? Do you expect Them to leave when you are in need of Them?

Or do you expect Them to be your faithful, loving and powerful God and Savior empowering you by the Holy Spirit to be who you are called to be? Which do you actually expect to be there for you, and which are you basing your life upon?
