8/26/20 Our Privilege

Being a husband and father is a God-given privilege. It is pretty incredible to think that He trusts us enough to place the lives of other people in our hands - people He loves as much as He loves us. Because of this tremendous responsibility, He also gives us Himself and all that He has so that we can succeed as husbands and fathers. He is always available and ready to supply whatever we need to fulfill our offices.

Our Father has promoted us, then pledges to equip us, and allows us to observe the wonder of the work He accomplishes in us and in those we’ve invested in. Yes, the offices of husband and father include an enormous responsibility, but what immeasurable joy and satisfaction there is to experience in the process when fully submitted to Him. What an extraordinary privilege! I encourage you to make the most of it!

8/26/20 The Heart of Jesus

“The foolish among you are not heeding My repeated calls to intimacy. You are not changing the religious format of your life by making time with Me your priority. I am calling you to Myself so that you can hear My heart and I can make you more like Jesus. When I am your priority and you come fully surrendered, I give you His heart - a bridal heart with bridal desires for bridal preparation.

"Jesus is coming soon for those who have only His desires, seek only His ways; and have prepared only for Him. Cast aside the other gospels that are so prominent in your world. Any message that does not call for intimacy and proper heart preparation is a foolish doctrine designed for the foolish heart. To follow them will have you standing on the sidelines when My end-time plan unfolds.”

Matt. 25:1-6 NIV

1) “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

2) Five of them were foolish and five were wise.

3) The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them.

4) The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps.

5) The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

6) At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’”

Hebrews 1:3 AMP

He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God’s] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high…

So many things distract us from focusing on why we have been born and then born again, as God sees it. We have been born to accept God’s way of salvation, Jesus Christ. When we do, we are to allow Christ’s life to live through us, so that others can accept Him as their Savior and Lord.

We are to take on His nature as He took on the nature of His Father. That kind of image only comes from intimacy, a sharing and imparting of Christ’s nature by a loving Father. When Jesus comes, He will be looking for those who were wise enough to gain His heart, are familiar with godly intimacy, and are as He is.

8/25/20 Heavy Stuff

As men, most of us get great satisfaction in achievements. If we are successful, we feel that we’ve done something of great worth and enjoy the results. In doing a great job, we have the additional satisfaction of having others note that we can be trusted with a better position, so we get promoted and are given more responsibility. That is all good stuff, and it motivates us to continually do better.

As a husband and father, we’ve been given the highest offices available to any human being. In essence, we have been promoted before we’ve achieved anything worthwhile to earn that high position. Most of us have few skills to succeed at our high office.

With our promotion - whether we like it or not - comes great responsibility. Success or failure in fulfilling our offices properly brings eternal consequences. It includes the possibility that our wives or offspring could be separated from God for eternity, in part, because of how we function in our offices. In addition to that horrible prospect is the reality of standing before the Most High God and being required to give answers for our actions concerning the stewardship of our families.

At a minimum, failure at our position could place our sons in the unenviable position of not having the skills they will need for their own high position of overseeing their families, and possibly standing before God themselves with little success if we couldn’t equip them properly with the tools we passed on to them, and they never found another way to acquire the proper tools. Our daughters could be ill-equipped to face life’s challenges because of our lack of proper investment in them. Our wives may not become all they can be in Christ because we don’t or can’t provide the proper atmosphere for them to prosper spiritually. These are some pretty heavy thoughts to ponder for any thinking human being. What are you going to do about them?

8/25/20 Dabbling at the Perimeter

“I desire more for you than how you are functioning now. Why won’t you move from the sidelines of logic, carnal wisdom, and business savvy and enter into My faith life? Human reasoning will always be shallow at best. Your worldly, logical counsel limits Me and My servants. I have given you much to do because you have asked to be a steward of much. I have brought those in need to you. Now you lord My resources over those I send your way.

"You are dabbling at the perimeter of My work, when I want you to be part of a mighty move and pour what I have given you into others. You work from a base of pride because of your position among people. In your own mind you have become important, but you are really doing little for Me compared to what I have in mind. You need to remember that you are going to answer to Me for what I have given you.

"Begin to pour My resources into My work with zeal. I desire that you become a limitless fountain, not a cask that can be emptied. I am waiting for you to submit fully to My plans. Discard your own ways. Break loose and move in faith. I desire to move through you in a mighty way, but I will be able to really use you only when you have My heart and you are functioning in My wisdom.”

II Chr. 16:9a AMP

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong in behalf of those whose hearts are blameless toward Him.

Ps. 111:10 AMP

The reverent fear and worship of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom and skill…; a good understanding, wisdom, and meaning have all those who do [the will of the Lord].

Luke 12:42-44, 48b NIV

42) The Lord answered, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their food allowance at the proper time?

43) It will be good for that servant whom the master finds doing so when he returns.

44) I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.”

48b) “From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.”

Ja. 2:26 AMP

For as the human body apart from the spirit is lifeless, so faith apart from [its] works of obedience is also dead.

God is raising up a faith people who are moving in the wonder of Jesus and discarding the logic of the world. He is using those who have been with the Father enough to hear His heart and move only when He says to move. Human reason can only carry the work of the Lord as far as logic will allow it to go. Faith, combined with Godly vision and implemented by learned obedience, is limitless. In these coming times, those who wait on the Lord to hear His heart and then step out in faith will accomplish mighty works, as the prideful unknowingly reel in their helplessness.

It’s Time to Run and Hide

The world is falling apart! Things are getting really scary! There seem to be no answers and powerful people are letting things fall apart! There seems to be nothing stopping the riots, fires, and harmful laws!

Without question, it's time to run straight to our powerful, almighty Father God, jump on His lap, and hide in the folds of His garment. It's time to seek Him for every breath we take and every move we make. It's time to remember that HE is in charge of everything; no one else is. It's time to become the victorious people who follow only the One Who has overcome all things and now sits at the right hand of His Father. That's basic Christianity 101!
