8/31/24 Remember His Love

“Everything that you receive from Me is an act of love. You are My cherished child. You are part of Me because of what Jesus has done. When you come to Me with repentance in your heart, I forgive you and remember your sin no more. It is gone as far as I am concerned.

“When you need help, I always move in your direction. To maintain peace, you need to remember that while I fully accept you, you are also in training. I fully accept you always, no matter how many times you need to repent to Me because of your sin. My acceptance is part of My overwhelming love for you. I always love you. I am also always training you and fulfilling My promise to make you holy. Sometimes that may appear to you as if answers are delayed or challenging seasons may continue too long.

“Remember that I love you. I always love you. Allow that knowledge to remain in your heart when answers to your prayers may seem to take too long while I am training you.”

2 Cor. 3:18 AMP

And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.

Ephesians 5:1-2 NIV

1) Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children

2) and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Hebrews 10:14 NIV

…because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

Rev. 3:19 AMP

Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I tell their faults and convict and convince and reprove and chasten [I discipline and instruct them]. So be enthusiastic and in earnest and burning with zeal and repent [changing your mind and attitude.

It’s so easy to forget that we are continually in training for service. Our lives are not designed to remain in comfort, where we can observe the world going by from some lofty perch. We have been brought into the kingdom of God so that our Lord can accomplish His will through us.

Once that understanding is complete in us, our lives will never be the same. We will be able to walk in full acceptance, bathed in love, willing to be guided to whatever training ground the Lord deems necessary. The highs and lows of whether or not we are accepted will fall by the wayside. The question of whether or not we are loved will be answered, and the purpose for our lives will come into focus the more we submit to His hand. Our lives will become wondrously fulfilled, flowing in loving interaction between Father and child, working in union with a common goal.

Teach me from Your heart, Lord,

8/31/24 Favor from God

Because they have so much impact, the offices of husband and father are very important to Father God. The world sees a strong man as someone who selfishly dominates his realm of influence. Men not worthy of these offices take advantage of those they steward and cause them much harm. Countless children in every strata of society grow up and spend their entire lives looking to be healed because of ignorant or uncaring fathers.

The offices of husband and father are designed by God to be the highest offices He has created. Because every person on this earth is born into a family situation, that institution is very dear to His heart. Any man, who attempts to raise his family to honor God and live a significant life in His eyes, has great favor with Him. He responds to the father on his knees, who prays for the best interests of his wife and family.

Men, as you begin to understand the importance of your office and function in it God’s way, expect answers to your needs. Expect supernatural intervention in impossible situations. Be prepared to meet unusual responses from formerly unresponsive children. Prepare to fall in a deeper kind of love with your wife, no matter how impossible that may seem at present. When God favors your actions and directions, He hovers over them like a loving, enthusiastic, doting Father. After all, that’s Who He is!

8/30/24 That Determined Moment

“Do you remember when We were alone and quiet, and you gave your life to Jesus? I don’t necessarily mean when you made an emotional commitment, but the day you understood His Lordship. I mean that determined moment when everything you were became Mine through Him. I also want you to remember the subsequent times when you confirmed your decision to have Jesus be the Lord over every fiber of your being. You sold out completely for My reasons, rather than remain in the feel-good religion of those around you.

“At those confirming moments, you came out of the cold, dead church; and set yourself on a bridal course with Me. Although I am no respecter of persons, I do honor the heart commitment of My true church and deal differently with those who are completely Mine. I take you at your word and your heart purpose, beginning the course to remove everything that is of the flesh in you. That is My determined purpose.

“You must understand that your life will never resemble the lives of those in My church who have never gone beyond selfish reasons for knowing Me. Remember, you have decided to respond to the call to be set apart over and over again. When you became serious from the depths of your being, I could begin the deeper work in you individually. In this late season, I am doing that increased work en masse.

“Look around to see how many of My people are going through trials to refine them. Be not surprised as more enter into My refinement and the trials increase. Some of My remnant will fall away even now because of the pressure. You remain steadfast. Regain your first love. We will make it through together if you rely on Me. Who will embrace the bridal heart? Let it be you.”

Phil 3:10-11 AMP

10) [For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope]

11) That if possible I may attain to the [spiritual and moral] resurrection [that lifts me] out from among the dead [even while in the body].

Rev. 3:19 AMP

Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I tell their faults and convict and convince and reprove and chasten [I discipline and instruct them]. So be enthusiastic and in earnest and burning with zeal and repent [changing your mind and attitude].

Far from an “elitism” mentality, there is a separation that is happening within the body of Christ. As usual, the enemy counterfeits any move of God, attempting to draw the unsuspecting believer into a trap of uniqueness or polarization. This end-time separation cannot be counterfeited, however, because it is not one of raising ourselves up, but one of lowering ourselves to a posture of complete surrender to the will of God in every area of our lives—esteeming ourselves as nothing so that Jesus can become everything in us.

This move to bridal preparedness is not the road that many will take because it is a road willingly taken to destroy every ounce of our carnal heart behavior. It is a crucified life, implemented by the Lord in those who continually surrender themselves to Him. It is a road of complete elimination of the flesh so that the Spirit of God is all that remains. It is the dedicated study of Jesus, embracing and accepting His very nature, so that when He comes, we will be like Him.

8/30/24 Saying I’m Sorry

For some of us macho guys, saying “I’m sorry” is very difficult, especially if our parents never told us they were sorry for anything. Let’s face it; we all make mistakes. Sometimes those mistakes occur through our ignorance, our upbringing, or our sin.

As a husband and father, your words and actions have a very big impact on your family. Your undoneness may be revealed every time you open your mouth or with every reaction you exhibit regarding the challenges you encounter involving your wife or children. Sometimes that inability to deal with things properly will cause separation. Maybe your children have separated from you in their hearts or your marriage may be far less than you ever thought it would be.

Usually in these situations, we have a tendency to replace love for our children with discipline, or take on hard work instead of communicating with our wives. The hope that things will get better is a whole lot easier than dealing directly with the issues that have caused the situation we’re in. It’s also much easier to blame others for the things they’ve done or for their imperfections, rather than taking responsibility for the heart separation ourselves.

Holy Spirit-led, heartfelt repentance to those, who have separated themselves from you in their hearts, can go a long way toward healing. Honest repentance for your mistakes and completely forgiving others for their mistakes is God’s way of making relationships whole. Your release of any undoneness and all offenses, which have caused the situation you are in, brings a whole new dynamic into play.

In essence, our relationship with Jesus began and remains whole with saying “I’m sorry,” whenever we offend Him. We need His mercy each time we come to Him. Our job is to extend that same mercy to those who have offended us – real or perceived, especially family members. Your expression of sorrow for the times you may have offended others gives them the freedom to heal from your offenses. It opens the doors of communication and allows weapons of self- defense or survival instinct to be laid down. “I’m sorry” - two little words that could change the direction of your family when said for the good of others. Will you say them?

8/29/24 Face to Face

“Have you forgotten that one day you will stand before Me? You really need to remember that I will judge what you have done in My Name and how you have used what I have given you. You seem to have lost the significance of that event and how important it is to Me that you have an abundance to give to Jesus. You also don’t realize how your actions now reflect on and impact your eternity with Me.

“If you choose not to develop intimacy with Me now, how will your life compare to those who have? Will you expect Me to overlook your lack of desire to be with Me? Similarly, if you can’t be trusted with what I give to you to help My Word go forth, why would I entrust you with things of value for eternity? Why should I believe that you care about the things that Jesus really cares about when you ignore them as the priority of your days on earth?

“Some of you are in for a very large surprise. You think that you have need of nothing, but you are far from why I have brought you to Me. You have misunderstood My grace. You have listened to false prophets and wealth-driven preachers. You need to repent of your ways and turn to My ways before it is too late. Go back to My Word. Study My heart. Allow Me to change yours!”

Matthew 16:24-25 AMP

24) Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to be My disciple, let him deny himself [disregard, lose sight of, and forget himself and his own interests] and take up his cross and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying, also].

25) For whoever is bent on saving his [temporal] life [his comfort and security here] shall lose it [eternal life]; and whoever loses his life [his comfort and security here] for My sake shall find it [life everlasting].

Matthew 25:23 NIV

His master replied, “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!”

Luke 12:19-21 NIV

19) And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”

20) “But God said to him, ’You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’

21) “This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God.”

1 John 2:6 AMP

Whoever says he abides in Him ought [as a personal debt] to walk and conduct himself in the same way in which He walked and conducted Himself.

Rev. 3:15-18 NIV

15) “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!

16) So, because you are lukewarm - neither hot nor cold - I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

17) You say, ’I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.

18)  I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.”

I wonder how many of us have convinced ourselves that the above verses are meant for all those other people who are in deep sin and not really for those of us who simply have a heart that has hardened just a little bit; you know, those of us who deserve God’s mercy just because we spent our lives overlooking only some of His Word in order to be comfortable?

Change is good, Lord. I say yes!
