6/06/26 Don’t Move Prematurely

“Wait! Wait! Don’t move before I tell you to move. There are many obstacles and foundational items that need to be moved, modified, and created before all is in order. If you move in your own strength and wisdom, you will never receive all that I have for you. I am not in a hurry. Even when I have given you a time frame, you can rest assured that I will never be late with My provision. My timing is always perfect. If you are in My perfect will, I will most likely be asking you to take a step of faith before you see all the provisions that I have made for you.

“Remember this one thing. I delight in being your Provider far more than you delight in having a God who is aware of your every need and has promised to always be there for you. I rejoice as I see you reminded of My faithfulness when I fulfill those needs. I plan to do that for eternity. Why would I not do it now? Rest! Trust in Me. I will never fail you. In fact, wait until you see what I have planned for you.”

Ps. 27:14 AMP

Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord.

Ps. 31:15 NIV

My times are in your hands; deliver me from my enemies and from those who pursue me.

Ps. 37:3-5 AMP

3) Trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) in the Lord and do good; so shall you dwell in the land and feed surely on His faithfulness, and truly you shall be fed.

4) Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.

5) Commit your way to the Lord [roll and repose each care of your load on Him]; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass.

Ps. 42:11 AMP

Why are you cast down, O my inner self? And why should you moan over me and be disquieted within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him, Who is the help of my countenance, and my God.

Ps.62:5 AMP

My soul, wait only upon God and silently submit to Him; for my hope and expectation are from Him.

I used to think that messages about how faithful our God is were unnecessary. We are supposed to know that if we’ve walked with Him for any length of time. Since then, however, the Lord has impressed upon My heart how important it is to talk about His faithfulness one to another. It builds up our confidence in the faithfulness of God. That awareness of His faithfulness is the backbone for everything we do as Christians.

Before any of us can begin to do exploits, witness, or see signs and wonders, we must first have an immovable truth in our hearts.  First, we must believe that He is God; and then, that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Without faith in all that transpired at Calvary, none of us could or would be able to share the wonders provided for us. Without faith that our Father will fulfill what He has promised those who embrace Jesus as Lord, none of us could have the wondrous assurance that we do of eternal life.

Rejoice out loud about a loving, faithful God. Proclaim the wonders of His love to each other and to every corner of your world. Never cease to remember His fulfilled promises and expect Him to be there for future needs. He will be there. He promised.

Learning to remember and to sing praises out loud,

6/06/26 Commitment to Lordship

From the book, The Father Factor, by Jim and Merry Corbett

The Lordship of Jesus Christ over everything is the single corridor God has provided to remove your spiritual impotence. It is the spiritual equivalent to the mechanical “How does it work?” of the natural realm. It is the only “action-reaction” provided by God to overcome useless, unacceptable works of the flesh.

If you need to do so, introduce yourself to Jesus all over again. Open your heart up to the Lord in prayer. Rediscover His overwhelming love for you. Pursue first love with Him once again and recapture the wonder of His mighty works. Ask Him to show you which areas you have surrendered to the absolute Lordship of Jesus Christ and those you haven’t. Write them down. Don’t push this aside with the usual “I’ve already given everything over to Him,” as you may have done for many years, all the while being deceived and remaining spiritually impotent.  Don’t be fooled into believing that everything is under His Lordship when it probably isn’t. Your spiritual life depends on it!

Take the time to list everything you can think of in your world, your marriage, your children, your ministry, your career, your relationships, etc., that is or is not under His Lordship. Come clean. Cover everything and include it in the following prayer when you can mean it from the bottom of your heart, because the Lord is waiting eagerly to answer your prayer and transform you through the power of His Word and His Spirit – the Holy Spirit. It’s a win-win situation!

Lord, I place everything in my life (read your list) under Your complete Lordship. I am tired of trying to complete in the flesh what was begun in the Spirit. Teach me to understand Your ways and then give me the power to continually walk in them. Thank You, Lord!

6/05/26 It Takes Time

“You may have “this” because you are mature enough to handle it. I will do “that” for you, when you are ready for the responsibilities that come with it. I will do something else for you, when I see that you will use it wisely; however, there are some things I will not do because they would not be good for you at this time. I would not be able to hold your attention while you are being trained. Your requests to Me sometimes take time.

“Rest in Me while I teach you to be trustworthy. While I am removing obstacles, moving blockades, and changing you, become steadfast in My lessons. Become focused on what I am doing in you. When you are ready, I will move on your behalf. When you have My heart, I can trust you to properly value what you are given.”

Psalm 37:4 NIV

Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Jas. 4:2-3 AMP

2) …You do not have, because you do not ask.

3) [Or] you do ask [God for them] and yet fail to receive, because you ask with wrong purpose and evil, selfish motives…

I John 3:22 AMP

And we receive from Him whatever we ask, because we [watchfully] obey His orders [observe His suggestions and injunctions, follow His plan for us] and [habitually] practice what is pleasing to Him.

In prayer, there is a connection between what God does and what you are to do. Prayer (communication with God) is the vehicle that Father God has established for us to navigate from the physical realm to the spiritual realm and back again to accomplish His will from heaven to earth in us and through us.

Through this communication and because of the work of Jesus, God brings Himself, His plans, and His very being into His established tabernacles – us. Within the communication, we present our requests for all that is necessary for us to become who we need to be. Our Father also communicates His will to us. It is true communication between the Creator and His creation, with Father God all the while fine tuning our encounters with Him through the Holy Spirit.

Our communication with God is a privilege. It is also one of God’s opportunities to change us while we are waiting for answers.

Make me what You need me to be, Lord,

6/05/26 Joseph

I believe one of the most unheralded examples of utmost faith in God is Joseph. Given the period in which he lived, the idea that his future wife, his betrothed, was pregnant meant so much more than it would today. According to those ignorant of the circumstances, she should be stoned.

Imagine, if you will, Joseph dealing with the “know-it-alls” as she began to physically show her situation. Imagine the task he had to not only grasp her situation, but then answer to the questioning eyes in their close-knit society. Imagine him standing with her, defending her and defending God to those who couldn’t understand.

But Joseph knew. He’d heard from God. He trusted what he heard and lived his life with confidence that God had made the impossible possible. His faith overcame any fear he may have had. His faith allowed the will of God to be fulfilled. Because he believed, every one of us was given a chance to be made right with God. He was a husband who trusted in the promise of God and walked in that promise.

What impossible task are you called to do as a husband or father? How impossible does the challenge seem? If you want to overcome all the impossibilities as Joseph did, why not spend enough time with God to hear from Him and find His purpose and direction? After doing so, walk in the kind of love He tells you to exhibit, no matter how foolish it may seem. You have no idea how many people you will impact if you do.

6/04/26 The Great I Am

“I am the Glory and the Lifter of your Head. I am your High Strong Tower. I am your Defender against all of your enemies. I am for you; no weapon that is formed against you will prosper. I am the One you can call upon whenever anything hinders the way that I have planned for you. Before everything that has ever existed, I was. I have covenanted Myself to you. All that I Am is for you and never against you. I am your Father God. I give notice to your enemies. Enough!”

Deut. 1:6 NIV

The Lord our God said to us at Horeb, “You have stayed long enough at this mountain.”

Psalm 3:1-6 AMP

1) Lord, How they are increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me.

2) Many are saying of me, there is no help for him in God. Selah [pause and calmly think of that]!

3) But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.

4) With my voice I cry to the Lord, and He hears and answers me out of His holy hill. Selah [pause and calmly think of that]!

5) I lay down and slept; I awakened again, for the Lord sustains me.

6) I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me round about.

Psalm 18:1- 2 NIV

1) I love you, O Lord, my strength.

2) The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield…

Psalm 61:2-3  NIV

2) From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

3) For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe.

Proverbs 18:10 NIV

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.

I believe that as I write this, and as you read this, something has changed in the spiritual realm about our lives. Many of you, as well as we, have been under an onslaught of pressure and trials. Even though they are refining trials, they have seemed overwhelming, especially in the last few days. Often we have cried out to God, who seemed not to hear.

This day, He has said “Enough!” It is now time to move on. All along He has been working on our behalf to prepare the way for us as we proceed. Our command is to avoid what they did in Deuteronomy when they walked in fear because of the obstacles that lay ahead. Have the mindset of Joshua and Caleb.

If this message is for you, if your time is now, have the Lord confirm it and walk with your God. He is with you. If this message is for you down the road, save it and pull it out when the Lord reminds you of it.

Thank You, Lord,

Jim Corbett
